Job Requirements:

To drive taxi in Victoria you must have a:

• Class 4 Driver's Licence: Motor Vehicle Branch

  • Bordon @ McKenzie

  • Wharf @ Broughton
     

• Chief's Permit

A Chief's Permit can be obtained from the Victoria Police (Quadra @ Caledonia). There is a written exam (on knowledge of the city, streets, hotels, landmarks and attractions as well as questions on Taxi By-laws) takes place first and third Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am and costs $35.00. Appointments only.
